Op NANOOK Naval Task Force visits Greenland On August 12, 2010, Her Danish Majesty’s Ship (HDMS) Vaedderen, along with HMCS Montréal and USS Porter, visited the Greenland community of Groennedal (Kangilinnguit) as part of Operation NANOOK, the Canadian Forces’ annual demonstration of Canada’s sovereignty in the North.

Warships gather for International Fleet Review ESQUIMALT -- The sailors shouting “hip hip hurray” could be heard for miles across the water as they lined the 21 ships participating in the Canadian Naval Centennial’s International Fleet Review (IFR) in Esquimalt June 12. Governor General Michaëlle Jean took the salute from the flagship HMCS Algonquin as the ship made its way through the ranks.
