Welcome to the Customs and Traditions section of the Canadian Navy Heritage Project website. This section contains information on the history of many of the naval customs and traditions that form part of the day-to-day activity of the navy.
Since there are a significant number of entries, they have been organized under the "Toasts of the Day", which are used at naval mess dinners, and which are fully explained in the section entitled "The Mess" located under the toast of the day for Thursday - "Our Navy".
